Corporate Social Responsibility
PSG strives to understand and respect the cultural values and laws wherever we operate. PSG actively supports important initiatives in those communities where our employees live and work.
This commitment is for example visible in our support for the Wildlands "Indigenous Trees for Life" programme, as well as various projects with good causes on a regional basis. We also encourage our employees to support initiatives that are important to them

Tree Marathon Captures Hearts in Klapmuts
A renewed energy and excitement filled the air in Klapmuts today (the 10th of April) when crowds of people, including the honourable Mayor Conrad Sidego and over 140 volunteers from five corporate entities, gathered to take part in one of many Tree-a-thon’s (mass planting events) set to take place this year, as part of the “Million Trees” project.
The crowd were addressed by the Mayor Conrad Sidego, Counsellor Sophie Louw and Pietman Retief, who are all passionate about “cleaning and greening” the areas that fall within the municipality they manage.
The honourable Mayor Conrad Sidego explained how the “Million Trees” project came about, saying “this was a vision of mine and part of a bigger plan to create dignified living while reducing our carbon footprint. The “Million Trees” project is also a perfect example of how the environment can be used to reduce poverty and create jobs – and this is also what inspired our sustainable partnerships with Wildlands Conservation Trust and Leaf a Legacy,” said Sidego.

PSG Konsult Corporate
With regard to black economic empowerment, we are of the opinion that this is not a political need, but an economic necessity. To this end we have created PSG Konsult Corporate Limited, a black owned brokerage in which we have an interest. With our assistance and that of our financial planners, we aim to build this brokerage to the betterment of the financial future of our country.
Wildlands Conservations Trust
The Wildlands Conservation Trust was founded in KwaZulu Natal, but they have since found their
way to the Western Cape through an innovative project called the Indigenous Trees for Life Programme, in conjunction with
PSG, PSG Konsult Corporate and Spier.
This programme empowers local communities to grow their own trees for the upliftment of the community. At the same time they also contribute to the environment by assisting, amongst others, with reforestation projects.

BADISA is a Tswana word that means "shepherd" and "caretaker". BADISA strives towards rendering a quality service to people and communities and achieves this through:
- Comprehensive developmentally focussed social service programmes which are aimed at enabling people to function optimally; and
- Developing effective networks for distress relief and poverty alleviation.
At PSG we have committed ourselves to supporting BADISA for an initial three-year period in order to develop skills, train personnel and volunteers and monitor the results through ISUMASA, thereby improving sustainability by managing smarter.
Akkerdoppies Preschool provide affordable, high standard preschool services in Stellenbosch to children with limited access to such services.
We believe that in order to instigate change in a community, you have to start by equipping the children with the necessary skills that will guide them on their journey to become self-affirmed adults who have the freedom to dream of a better future.
