Adriaan joined the investment industry in 2005 as a portfolio analyst after completing his degree in financial analysis at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2006 he was appointed as national manager of investments at PSG Wealth and was tasked with managing the PSG Wealth range of unit trust solutions. Adriaan completed his master's degree in business management (with specialisation in investments) during 2008. In 2016 he earned a PhD by completing a dissertation that focused on enhancing investment outcomes for South African investors. Under his leadership the multi-management business, which started with seed capital of R10 000 in 2005, has grown into a multi-discipline business that manages in excess of R80 billion and oversees the management of an additional R150 billion under the PSG Wealth banner.
Henko joined the investment industry in 2010 as an investment consultant at ABSA Investments after completing his honours degree in investment management at the University of Johannesburg. In 2011 he joined PSG Wealth as product specialist, providing technical and sales support to independent financial advisers. He obtained the chartered financial analyst designation in July 2013. In November 2013 he joined PSG’s multi-management team as a senior analyst responsible for global fund manager research. In 2019 he was appointed head of manager research for PSG Wealth.
Warren joined the investment industry in 2014 as a graduate at Helfin Financial Services. After completing the internship, he continued his career as an investment analyst at Caleo Capital where he supported the CEO with offshore client portfolio structuring and the CIO with research on both local and global equities and funds. Warren joined the PSG multi-management team in June 2019 as a senior fund analyst focusing on global multi-manager research and macroeconomic trends. He obtained his degree in 2013 from the University of Pretoria and is currently a CFA level 3 candidate.
Sidwell joined the investment industry in 2010 as a summer intern at Musa Capital, prior to completing his Bachelor of Economics degree at Rhodes University in 2014. In March 2015, he joined PSG Wealth as a graduate. In 2016, he joined PSG’s multi-management team as a junior analyst and was appointed fund analyst in 2017. Sidwell is currently a CIPM Level 1 candidate.
Kyle joined the investment industry early in 2016 after returning from South Korea where he worked as an English teacher abroad. He started at Silica, where he learned the back end of fund administration. Kyle completed his post graduate degree in investment management in 2012 and has attained his CFA level 1 of which he plans to complete level 2 next year in 2020. He joined the PSG multi-management team 2018 as a graduate analyst and is currently a junior analyst within the team.
Armand finished his honours degree in 2018 at the University of Pretoria. In 2019 he joined the investment industry as a graduate working in the PSG multi-management team with a primary focus on the local markets. He is currently a CFA Level 2 candidate with the ultimate goal of becoming a chartered financial analyst.
Siyaviya finished his honours degree in 2015 at the University of the Witwatersrand. In 2016 he joined the investment industry as an investment administrator. He moved to Oracle Corporation and assumed the role of data analyst in 2017 and later re-joined PSG Wealth in 2018. Siyavuya is currently a junior fund analyst within the multi-management team.
Franco joined the investment industry in 1999 as an investment analyst at PSG Online after completing his honours degree in investment management at the University of Johannesburg. In 2004, PSG Online’s research offering was outsourced to IFR Research, which he headed until its acquisition by PSG in 2015. Franco is currently the head of equity research.
Thys joined the investment industry in 2012 as an equities trader at Thebe Stockbroking after completing his degree in investment management at the University of Stellenbosch. He then obtained the certified stockbroker designation in August 2014. In 2015 he joined BNP Paribas as a sales trader providing best execution and sales support to all their local and international clients. He then joined PSG securities in August 2017 and was promoted to head of portfolio manager research in March 2019.
Gregory completed his honours degree in investment management at the University of Pretoria in 2014. He joined the investment industry in 2015 as a hedge fund administrator at RiskCafe. He then joined PSG as an equity analyst in July of 2018 and earned his CFA designation in May 2019.
André completed his investment management degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2017. He went on to pursue an honours degree in financial analysis, and graduated from Maties in 2018. He joined PSG Wealth as a graduate in the equity research team in 2019. He is working towards attaining his CFA designation as he is currently a level 3 candidate.
Ryan joined the investment industry in 2018 as an equities analyst in the PSG Wealth multi-management team after completing his accounting articles at Deloitte in the financial services division in 2017. He obtained the chartered accountant designation in August 2018. He is currently a CFA Level 3 candidate.
Tamara completed her Bachelor of Commerce honour’s degree in investment management in 2017 at the University of Pretoria. She joined PSG Wealth at the start of 2018 as a graduate. Now, she is a junior equity analyst in the multi-management team, covering the real estate and consumer discretionary sectors and is formerly a CFA level 1 candidate.
Matt completed his studies in 2016 at Stellenbosch University with a Bachelor of Commerce honours degree in financial analysis. He started his professional career at Lentus Asset Management in 2017 and joined PSG Wealth’s multi-management team as an equity analyst in August 2019. Matt has completed all 3 levels of the CFA curriculum.
Zinhle Joined the investment industry in 2017 after completing her honours degree in investment management in 2016 at the University of Johannesburg. Zinhle previously worked at Fairtree Asset Management as a Junior equity analyst. She recently joined PSG Wealth’s multi-management team as an equity analyst in September 2019.
Jinine joined the investment industry in 2015 as an investment writer for the PSG Wealth multi-management team after completing her master’s degree in financial journalism at the University of the Witwatersrand. Jinine worked as a journalist for almost two decades writing for the Caxton group and Media24. She worked as a news producer for a variety of television programmes and had the honour of working with broadcasting legends like Ruda Landman and Riaan Cruywagen. Jinine is tasked with managing the small research insights communication team.
Irene joined the investment industry in 2018 as a junior investment writer for the PSG Wealth multi-management team after completing her honours degree in international relations specialising in economic cooperation and financial trade regulations at the University of the Witwatersrand. Irene started her journalism career at CNBC Africa in 2015 before moving to the investment industry. Irene is tasked to write most of the content used in research insights newsletters.
Jacomien joined the investment industry in 2018 as a financial copywriter for the PSG Wealth multi-management team after completing her honours degree in crafting an effective writer tools of the trade at the University of Pretoria. Jacomien previously worked as a copywriter for Stratitude where she gained experience in creating copy for brands like Thebe Investment Corporation, the PLP Group and Indwe Risk Services. She also worked for Telesure Investment Holdings where she worked on brands such as 1st for Women, DialDirect, Hippo.co.za and Virseker. Jacomien is tasked to develop much of the content to promote the PSG Wealth House View Equity Portfolios.
