Willem founded chartered accountancy firm Theron du Plessis in Middelburg in 1976. The firm eventually had ten branch offices in the Western and Eastern Cape. In 1998, he founded PSG Konsult and acted as its chief executive officer until 30 June 2013. He was then appointed as non-executive chairman. He also serves on the board of PSG Group Limited.
Francois was a group managing director jointly responsible for the UBS Securities division before joining PSG as deputy chief executive officer in July 2012. He assumed the role of chief executive officer with effect from 1 July 2013. Francois started his career at UBS Investment Bank in 1995 as head of research in South Africa. Before that, he worked for Senekal, Mouton & Kitshoff Proprietary Limited.

In August 2012, Jaap was appointed as the lead independent non-executive director for PSG Group Limited and PSG Financial Services Limited. He was appointed as chairman of KAP Industrial Holdings Limited in 2012 and is chairman of its nomination committee.
Mike has more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry. He was appointed chief financial officer of PSG Konsult in June 2013, having joined PSG in 2001 as group financial director of Appleton Limited, later becoming chief operating officer (COO) for PSG Asset Management and most recently serving as the COO for the PSG Wealth division. Prior to that, he worked for both RAD Investment Bank and Deloitte & Touche in their corporate finance divisions.
Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Capitec Bank in March 2004, he was instrumental in forming the bank and its unique positioning and service platform in the market, as Managing Director since inception in June 2000. His experience in banking stems from his previous position as Managing Director of Boland PKS, where innovation led the bank from personal banking to a focus on specialised banking for small businesses and mass market banking via a joint venture with retailer Pep Stores. Prior to his career in banking, he gained extensive experience in the liquor industry through his responsibilities as Operations Director of Distillers Corporation.
Piet is the chief executive officer of PSG Group Limited. He serves as a director on the boards of various PSG Group companies, including Curro Holdings, Capitec Bank and Zeder Investments Limited. He has been active in the investment and financial services industry since 1999.
Patrick served at Moores Rowland Chartered Accountants for eight years, during which he completed his training contract. He emmigrated to Canada in 1981 and worked for Lanvethol and Horwath (chartered accountants) from 1981 to 1984. Patrick was one of the founding members of Siphumelele Investments Limited, established in 1995. His experience includes executive and non-executive positions in fishing, financial services, telecommunications, media and entertainment, technology and insurance. He currently serves as the financial director of Snoek Wholesalers Proprietary.
KK is the executive chairman of Thembeka Capital Limited. He holds a diploma in public relations and was awarded the Ernst & Young South African Best Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2000, as well as the World Entrepreneur of the Year in Managing Change award in 2001. KK is a member of the Institute of Directors and serves on various listed and unlisted companies' boards, including PSG Group, Curro Holdings Limited and Pioneer Food Group Limited (as chairman).
Prior to joining PSG as chief operating officer, Niraj was a managing director at UBS, serving as joint chief operating officer of Global Equities. This contributed to over a decade of front office Investment Banking experience. Niraj started his career at Total Oil and Gas, and also worked at Greenwich NatWest before joining UBS.
After a career as a financial adviser at Sanlam and ABSA, Dan joined Theron Du Plessis Accountants in Villiersdorp. In 1997 he joined PSG as Western and Northern Cape Regional Manager. Since 2008, he has served as chief executive of distribution.
As a duly admitted attorney, notary and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa, Marilize has a legal background and over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Previous roles have included management positions at the Bond Exchange of South African and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Most recently, she served as head of operations at Momentum Wealth Portfolio Management. Marilize joined PSG Wealth in 2014 as chief operating officer and was appointed chief executive officer in 2016.
Anet Ahern has 30 years' experience in investment and business management. After starting her career at Allan Gray in 1986, she worked as a portfolio manager at Syfrets where she managed the Syfrets Balanced Fund, and later BoE Asset Management, where she was CIO and CEO. She also spent six years at Sanlam, where she was the CEO of Sanlam Multi Manager International with local and global AUM of over R100bn. Anet joined PSG Asset Management as CEO in 2013.
Rikus joined PSG as chief executive officer of PSG Insure in 2012. He has well over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, working at both Corporate Guarantee Insurance Company Ltd and Western National Insurance Company before joining PSG. Prior to that, he worked in specialised finance at BoE.
